G is for Going Nowhere

A-Z Challenge.

Random Sightings No 7.

Not long after I bought my DSLR (back in the winter of 2012) I was trying it out in a local country park near where I live when I came across the remains of burnt out motor cycle. Then a year or so later in a different part of the park I discovered a burnt out scooter blocking the path.

As I continued my walk I spotted this toy car abandoned in the grass.

Half a truck hanging on a wall in Nottingham.

A wooden bicycle in the playground of a children’s nursery school in Leicester.

And last but not a least a photo of a reconstruction of a bike designed by Leonardo Da Vinci taken back in 2006 in Moscow.

  1. Thank you, thank you, thank you, Sally! That da vinci is just what I needed for my book illustration inspiration :)

  2. I love the wooden bicycle in front of the nursery school. Someone has a bunch of talent they wanted to share!

  3. That wooden bike is a piece of art. Can't get over it ... and the one hanging on the wall... wow, interesting idea.

  4. Looking at this set of images made me think about how digital photography has changed the way we take pictures. We would be unlikely the take the first three images on print film as the subject is not attractive yet we are happy to record everything we see with a digital camera. That bicycle outside the nursery has real character.
